Education
"Without knowledge even zeal is not good; and he who acts hastily, blunders."
-Proverbs 19:2 This Bible verse quickly tells us the importance of education which is the vehicle in which we gain knowledge. If we do not know what is right, or what we are to do, then it does not matter how much passion we have. Even false prophets can have a lot of passion in their work. But we are warned about false prophets in 1 John 4:1 "Beloved, do not trust in every spirit but test the the spirit to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." Some false prophets are easy to spot as they go around touting outragous acusations and downright lies. Some, however, are harding to see, spreading misinformation and half truths. Without the correct knowledge it would be too easy for us to slip into the latter. Whether you are in grade school, going through confirmation or an adult, it is important to continue learning. Explore St. Margaret Mary's educational pages to strengthen your knowledge. Some of the sections contain audio files which can be listen to with iTunes or Windows Media Player, among others. The Power Point Presentations can be viewed in Power Point which is a part of Microsoft Office. If you do not have Microsoft Office you can download the Power Point Viewer. I'd like to make a note before you download the audio files. These files were not recorded or edited by professionals. Also since we were in a class setting, we had to take what we got as the class progressed. Some technical difficulties came through in the records as noted in the footnotes. Please be understanding of these errors and try not to let them get in the way of you enjoying the talks. Thank you. |
