Contact:  Fr. Abraham P. Schariah 304-435-4503, or Parish Office (304) 428-1262

Those who are interested in becoming Catholic begin a journey in the faith with a team of clergy, religious, and laity. Sessions are scheduled during a weekday evening from September through Pentecost. The first part of the process is called “Inquiry” and lasts 12 weeks. Participants then go through a process of discernment to determine if they wish to continue the process.  Those who do, participate in the Rite of Acceptance and then continue the process until Easter. During the Holy Saturday Vigil Liturgy, they become full members of the Church and parish community. During the Easter season, the newly professed will begin the period of Mystagogy and continue meeting weekly until Pentecost.  All of us who are members of St. Margaret Mary Parish are called upon to pray for candidates and to help them to feel like a part of our parish family.
